The volume collects a series of contributions deriving from recent research carried out at a provincial, regional and cross-border level, which analyse various aspects linked to the condition of young people in the new millennium from different perspectives and angles. The contributions analyse how do the young people live the period of education, work, free time, which are their values and the models for the participation in social and community life, how are their relations with the territory and its different ethnic-linguistic components, but also how do they perceive reality on the other side of the border, which is getting ever closer, especially after the recent enlargement of the Schengen area to Slovenia.
