Helena Lupinc

Helena Lupinc graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Minorities and Multilingualism at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Rights at the University of London.
She is active mainly in the fields of human rights and minority rights: in 2021 she cooperated with the EURAC Institute for Minority Rights in Bozen, she is a board member of the DM+ Association of Young Slovenes in Italy and works closely with institutions supporting migrants, women victims of violence, homeless people and people suffering from substance abuse. She regularly publishes in the Primorski dnevnik. She has also worked at the Radio Trst A.
For her BA thesis Narodni dom in Trieste-Trst: perspectives, needs and objectives of the communities coexisting in the city, she received an award from the Republic of Slovenia’s Government Office for Slovenians Abroad.
She is interested in the social processes entailed in the perception and development of minority identities, especially among the youth of the Slovenian community in Italy.
She cooperates with the Slovene Research Institute since 2024.
