Jasmin Franza studied Interlingual Communication at the Department of Translation Studies of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana. After graduating, she obtained a master’s degree in Translation (Slovene-English-Italian). She has worked as a junior researcher (2018–2022) at the same department, focusing mainly on the emotion recognition and analysis in hate speech on social media. She works as a translator, proofreader and researcher. She has been involved with the Slovene Research Institute (SLORI) since 2017. Her research activities mainly cover the development of the Slovene language in the area of linguistic contact between Italian and Slovene.
