Slovenes in Slovenia’s neighbouring countries as the subject of research in national, cross-border and international projects

The Slovene Research Institute and the Institute for Ethnic Studies organised the conference “Slovenes in the Neighbouring Countries of the Republic of Slovenia as Subjects of Research in the Context of National, Cross-border and International Projects”, which took place on 14th December 2012 in Trieste.
The conference addressed the topic of researching the position and prospects of Slovenes in the countries bordering the Republic of Slovenia. There was also a round table discussion on proposals, ideas and possibilities for research on Slovenes in the countries bordering the Republic of Slovenia within the framework of national, cross-border and international projects. During the conference, the cooperation agreement between the Slovene Research Institute (SLORI) and the Research Centre of the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU) was also signed.
