The research project is based on a poll among people who hold responsibility roles (Presidents, committee members etc.) in Slovenian cultural, educational and sports associations in the Provinces of Trieste, Gorizia and Udine. The aim is to obtain information on the state of the art, development dynamics and problems that characterize the wide associative life of the Slovenians in Italy. The starting point for performing the research is a questionnaire that was used in 2003 for the research The state of the art, problems and perspectives of Slovenian cultural and educational associations in Italy (Susič, 2005).
The objectives of the research are:
1. to offer information about the state of the art;
2. to compare today’s situation with that of 2003 and observe the main changes;
3. to highlight crucial indicators for analysing the situation of Slovenian organisations and associations in Italy and prepare a questionnaire which is to be the basis for further surveys.
The results of the research will be presented in a scientific monographic publication.
