The Slovene research institute organised the Research Week from the 22nd to the 26th September in Trieste, Gorizia and San Pietro al Natisone. The objective of the initiative was the promotion of the research activities in the Slovene community in Italy and of its role in the society.
In the frame of the Research Week the bilingual secondary school in San Pietro al Natisone hosted several research workshops, dedicated to the second grade pupils. The pupils carried out a short poll among the primary school children of the same bilingual school, entitled “The school and us”.
Beyond the mentioned activities, the programme of the research Week included:
– the delivery of the award for SLORI public competition for graduation and post graduate theses for the year 2008;
– the presentation of the publication RE-THINK THE MINORITY and the discussion about modern themes regarding the Slovene national community in Italy;
– the press conference and the presentation of the publication and of the web page “Vabilo k spoznavanju manjšin.
