As part of this project a representative of the Slovene Research Institute (SLORI) will participate in the creation of a publication that is a compendium of the contributions made at the conference entitled Trust across borders: Darko Bratina’s vision of society and politics, which took place in the town of Gorizia on 20 October 2017. The conference was held 20 years after the death of this renowned sociologist, researcher and former SLORI director. His many interests and the impact he had on many different social groups are an opportunity to re-examine Darko Bratina’s ideas, since to this day they remain very much alive, provocative and forward-looking, both on a local level and on greater, cross-border level.
