This book is based on 400 interviews with people from the Natisone Valleys with secondary school degree. Questions on undertaken schooling, employment, professional chances offer a broad analysis of the ethno-linguistic identity of the interviewed people, their relationship with the Slovene language, the official status of the latter in the Natisone Valleys , the feeling of belonging to a specific cultural and historical reality. The book includes various graphs and charts; chronologically it presents a period of time from the first census in the Natisone Valleys (1871) to the present days.
