The author analyses the Italian legal system, specifically taking into account provisions which apply above all in ethnically mixed environments. The conclusion is that the Italian legal system has went beyond the nationalistic system of the fascist times. Specific issues concerning linguistic rules within the penal procedure remain nevertheless open.
