The volume contains the reprint of significant chapters of the Guidebook to Prealpi Giulie, published at the beginning of the century by Olinto Marinelli. Here there are descriptions by Francesco Musoni of the inhabitants of Beneška Slovenija, of their structure and distribution, especially the illustration of their physical and ethnic-cultural features and of the existing agricultural activities.
The second part includes the descriptions by Marinelli, Bragato and Trinco. The book represents a unique portrait of Beneška Slovenija in those times, when modernization processes and nationalist drives of new Italian authorities had not yet invaded the area.
