This publication is a collection of data concerning the annual inscriptions in nursery schools and other Slovene-language schools in the provinces of Trieste, Gorizia and Udine from the school years 1993/94 to 2002/03. As well as the statistics, the analysis also offers a systematic observation of the development trends in the school system in the decade considered. There is concern for the falling number of inscriptions in the Slovene schools during this decade, with exception of the bilingual school in San Pietro – Speter which has achieved a positive result.
