In the present publication, which is at the same time also a pedagogical handbook and a touristic guide, the authress, Tanja Visintin, leads the reader on the road to the discovery of the Karst near Gorizia. This is an area, where tracing the line between “this side of the border” and “that side of the border” is even more difficult then in other places. The publication results from an innovative pedagogical project, in which the authress sets out a sequence of didactical itineraries in a scarcely perceivable environment, which is unique because of its geographical and morphological features, of the biodiversity and because of its history and culture, which trace tiny paths between the stone-made walls.
