On the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the Slovene Research Institute the research group of SLORI prepared and issued a collection of essays and papers written by the founder and – till his death in 1982 – the director of the abovementioned Institute regarding the efforts of the Slovene community to achieve recognition of its national rights. The devotion of Karel Šiškovič to this cause becomes clear especially in the longest final essay which is, at the same time, the last paper Šiškovič wrote before his sudden death. The volume contains also the bibliography of the author dating back to the period 1974-1981 with 144 listed units.
